Drop-Off hire car time - is the time you intend to return your hire car.
All car hire companies charge in blocks of 24 hours. (Each 24 Hr block, starts at the time you are due to collect your hire car)
If you are late in returning your hire car - more than 30 minutes
after your arranged drop off time, you may be charged for an extra days car hire at the rate
payable at the depot (not our negotiated rates). So don't be late!! Our rates generally reflect a very good % discount.
discount.
Car rental duration - is the total number of days that you hire a car for.
Collection and delivery of hire car -
Airport collection of a hire car is usually from the appropriate fleet operator’s facility. Otherwise the
driver will be met at the airport with the hire car, or courtesy transport will be provided.
If you bring your hire car back earlier than expected you will not be due any refund
on the car hire rental fee. Similarily, you will be charged an extra days car rental
if you are late bringing your hire car back. This is payable locally in local currency
and possibly there will be additional taxes.
Make and model of the hire car requested
Advice car hire cannot guarantee the exact
make and model of hire car, however, the car hire company will provide a similar make and model of rental car, or will
upgrade you at no extra cost if a similar sized hire car is not available for you when you arrive.
If the hire car supplied is unsatisfactory, you need to request a replacement from the car hire
supplier at the time of collection. You should also inform Advice customer services on your return.
Airport Surcharge - At most airports (and in some other premium locations like ferry ports) the car hire
companies have to pay the airport an additional fee to use the airport facilities.
In many locations this fee is passed on to the customer and must be paid in local
currency. If you have any questions our reservations staff will be happy to advise you.
Local Charges and Deposits-
A credit card authorisation is required at the commencement of the car hire rental period as a
refundable deposit and to cover extra items.
One Way car hire rental - To hire a car at one hire branch location and deliver it to another hire branch location.
This service is not available online at the moment, but you can telephone our central reservations and we will try and organize it for you.
The car hire rental agreement -
All drivers will be recorded on the car hire rental agreement, which will be completed at the
car hire pick up location.
Additional Drivers for your hire car -
When there is more than one driver named on the rental agreement, the second
(or subsequent) driver is referred to as the additional driver. Additional
drivers can be added at the extras page for an additional fee payable locally,
as long as they are not "underage" and hold a full valid driving licence, they will be eligible to drive the hire car..
Insurance Excess on your hire car -
This part of each claim is the responsibility of the person insured to drive the hire car.
The excess amount is the maximum liability you will be held accountable for in cases of loss or severe damage caused in an accident involving the hire car
(as long as it does not involve alcohol consumption which invalidates all insurance
policies)
Third Party Insurance - protects the driver of the hire car against a claim made by another person in the event of any damage or
injury. Usually included within the rental fee unless otherwise stated. A person or persons other than the Insured driver of the hire car is the third party.
Loss Damage Waiver/ Collision Damage Waiver - Included within the rental fee unless otherwise
stated and protects the Driver of the hire car from any claim (minus the excess amount) in the event of
any damage occurring to the hire car. Theft Waiver -
Insurance against hire car theft is included in the prepayment unless specified otherwise.
Personal Accident Insurance - This is usually covered by travel insurance so check your personal
travel policy before selecting this as an extra to your hire car insurance.
